Reading Between the Pines: Wintering

This event is no longer on sale.

Thursday January 27

6:30 PM  –  7:30 PM

Celebrate reading in 2022 by joining The Dawes Arboretum book club, Reading Between the Pines. Explore both fiction and non-fiction works related to natural history, trees and much more. For January's meeting, we will be reading Wintering: The Power of Rest and Retreat in Difficult Times, by Katherine May. Her deeply personal memoir explores literature, internal challenges and the natural world to speak to the "transformative power of rest and retreat" in ways we can all identify with. This book is an invitation to find "joy in the hushed beauty of winter," encouraging us to follow nature's lead in living a "life as cyclical, not linear."
