Pawpaw-some Take-Home Recipes

This event is no longer on sale.

Thursday September 28

12:00 PM  –  5:00 PM

Not only can North America’s largest native fruit be found growing in Ohio, but we also have a fruitful collection growing at The Arboretum! The pawpaw fruit has been described as tasting “tropical” – a sort of mix between a banana, mango, pineapple, and melon flavor. Pawpaws also have a unique texture that is creamy and likened to custard (hence being in the “custard apple” family). Try out some yummy recipes using Pawpaws harvested from our Pawpaw collection. Each kit will include pawpaws and 3 suggested recipes, but feel free to try your own! Pawpaws cannot be collected from The Arboretum outside of Arboretum-sanctioned events.
