Salamanders can be elusive creatures, but they return faithfully to The Arboretum’s Cypress Swamp each spring. Migration only occurs under certain conditions and typically takes place during an early spring rain, though in recent years migration has occurred as early as late winter. Join us to learn more about salamanders, other amphibians, and experience this unique phenomenon!
