Ohio Sustainable Landscapes Series: Good Riddance to Invasives in your Landscaping

This event is no longer on sale.

Thursday September 24

12:00 PM  –  1:00 PM

This presentation will focus on some of the most invasive plants found in Ohio's natural areas and our landscaping. In addition to a review of control methods, we will discuss recommended alternatives as replacements. This approach will help you maintain a healthy, native landscape with habitat for birds, bees, butterflies and other insects. This session features speaker Jennifer Windus, who previously worked for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for 31 years, in the divisions of Natural Areas & Preserves and Wildlife. Since retirement in 2014, she has been involved with non-profit organizations including the Ohio Invasive Plants Council (OIPC) and the Ohio Natural Areas & Preserves Association.
